Dai-Sihing Amir Reza Foroohandeh

Amir who was born in 1979, began to practice martial arts with Goju Ryu Karate when he was 13 years old. After the green belt, he quit this art because of family pressures. But 2 years later the love he was nourishing for martial arts made him start again. Unfortunately problems wouldn’t leave him alone and he would be forced to leave the art again. Still the real turning point was awaiting him later on in his life.

Amir decided to practice all 3 arts Shotokan Karate, Shaolin Kung Fu and Kick Boxing at the same time. Tiresome training sessions made him improve enormously. But still he had not found what he was looking for. He was a Bruce Lee fan and around those times on a television program he heard that his idol Bruce Lee, was a Wing Tzun practitioner and if he wanted to be as successful as him, he thought he should also start learning Wing Tzun. So he did. He started learning Wing Tzun while still practicing other disciplines.

WT indeed was a very effective style. Unlike competitions in WT there are no rules and no referee is present. It was created for the streets, a style that would allow the weak to defeat the strong. As he progressed, Amir left practicing other arts and dedicated all his time to Wing Tzun. After a few years he also started doing LATOSA Escrima which has the same ideas of Wing Tzun but with using all kinds of weapons or anything as a weapon as a matter of self-defense. Attending almost every seminar and getting intensive private lessons from Sifu Emin Boztepe and later earned his instructor license from him. Right now he is working for his EBMAS Wing Tzun 3. TG degree and LATOSA Escrima 1. TG degree besides professionally teaching EBMAS Wing Tzun and LATOSA Escrima whitin the EBMAS organization.
