Amir (Iranian Azerbaijani) who was born in 1979, began to practice martial arts with Goju Ryu Karate when he was 13 years old. After the green belt, he quit this art because of family pressures but 2 years later the love he was nourishing for martial arts made him to start again. Unfortunately problems wouldn’t leave him alone and he would be forced to leave the art again. Still the real turning point was awaiting him later on in his life…

Amir decided to practice all 3 arts Shotokan Karate, Kick Boxing and Shaolin Kung Fu at the same time. Tiresome training sessions made him improve enormously. But still he had not found what he was looking for. He was a Bruce Lee fan and around those times on a television program he heard that his idol Bruce Lee, was a Wing Tzun man and if he wanted to be as successful as him, he thought he should also start learning Wing Tzun. So he did. He started learning Wing Tzun while still practicing other disciplines.

WT indeed was a very effective style. Unlike competitions in WT there are no rules and no referee is present. It was created for the streets, a style that would allow the weak to defeat the strong. As he progressed, Amir left practicing other arts and dedicated all his time to Wing Tzun. After a few years he also started doing LATOSA Escrima which has the same ideas of Wing Tzun but with using different kinds of weapons or anything as a weapon as a matter of self-defense. LATOSA Weapon System is one of the freest and the most realistic systems ever developed by human. Attending almost every seminar and getting intensive private lessons from Dai-Sifu Emin Boztepe and GGM Rene Latosa, earned him the instructor license.

In October 2006 Amir added a new country (UAE) to EBMAS and from January 2010, he became officially "EBMAS-UAE Chief Instructor" who is the first person in all of the international branches of EBMAS to achieve "The Chief Instructor Satus". He is Dai-Sifu Emin Boztepe’s Private Student, also the Highest Ranked Wing Tzun & Escrima Instructor in the Emirates, Middle East and Turkey. Being more popular in UAE attracted Royal Families and made him one of their favorite trainer...

Right now Sifu/Guro Amir R. Foroohandeh is working for his EBMAS Wing Tzun 4th TG (Dan) and LATOSA Escrima 3rd TG (Dan) besides professionally teaching and leading as the Chief Instructor in "EBMAS UAE" the middle east bracnch of EBMAS International.

By the way his best supporter is his wife Simo Nuray Seker Foroohandeh...
